Biography

Dion Henry is the Senior Pastor of the Altamonte Springs Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida.  Prior to his current assignment, he has served in two conferences, Central States and Southeastern (Florida).  Dion Henry loves to learn and be innovative which has led him to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama and a Master’s of Divinity degree as well a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.  The in-ministry project for the doctoral degree focused on ways to increase marital satisfaction among couples 18- 40 by discovering and educating them on how to manage three major stressors that can impact their relationship.  Pastor Henry is also an endorsed chaplain by the North American Division. 

Dion Henry believes strongly in community involvement. During the many years in ministry, he has served on many community boards in various capacities such as chaplain to the local NAACP branch, Vice-chair for Samaritan’s Touch Health Care Center, Local Interfaith Ministerial Association President and array of other memberships and positions. Church leadership and evangelism is also another passion for Dion Henry who led two congregations into new facilities, one purchase and one built. Dion Henry is happily married to Dilyn Henry for over 22 years. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who enjoys conducting workshops that cover an array of subjects that help restore broken families. Together they have conducted seminars nationally and internationally. They have two children: Hannah and Michael. Pastor Henry’s motto in life is found in Matthew 6:33 which says, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.”
